What We Do
AdvisedSpaces helps founders open concrete, offline businesses — laundromats, coffeeshops, restaurants, bakeries, and more — in the right location.
We publish data-driven how-to guides that cover everything from permits and startup costs to break-even timelines. Our location tools score real addresses on the factors that actually matter for each business type: foot traffic, competition density, demographics, and zoning.
If you're deciding where to open, we give you the information to make that decision with confidence.
Why AdvisedSpaces Exists
Opening a business is hard enough without having to piece together information from dozens of sources. Most founders spend weeks searching for basic data — cost ranges, permit requirements, location factors — and still end up guessing on where to open.
We built AdvisedSpaces to fix that. Every guide is structured around one business type and one city, with real numbers and checklists instead of generic advice. Every location score is calculated from industry-specific factors, not a one-size-fits-all formula.
The goal is simple: give founders the same quality of location research that franchise chains have, without the franchise.
How We Work
Our guides are built from public data sources — census records, permit databases, commercial real-estate listings, and industry reports. Where we use estimates, we say so and explain the methodology.
Location scores are based on measurable factors tied to each business type. A laundromat and a restaurant are scored on different criteria because they depend on different things. We publish what each score includes so you can evaluate it yourself.
We don't accept paid placements in our guides, and we don't sell user data. If we recommend a tool or service, it's because we think it's genuinely useful.
